Fashion Week Kicks Off September 9, 2010

On Thursday, September 9, 2010 New York City will host Fashion Week once again, but with a twist. This year marks the first year that the Mercedes Benz Fashion Show will be held at Lincoln Center.
As with every year, expect to see numerous celebrities, designers and media flock to the largest fashion event in the world. The festivities kick off this week with a special presentation of Michael Bloomberg, mayor of New York City.

The first season of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center is only a few weeks away. This will mark the first departure of the tents from Bryant Park to the new location at Lincoln Center.

The Artists & Writers 61st Annual Softball Game will take place on Saturday, August 15th at East Hampton’s Herrick Park. Celebrities will join in the game! This year’s roundup of players include Alec Baldwin, Christie Brinkley, James Lipton, Jeffrey Lyons, Juliet Papa, to name a few. Come out to see or root them on as they raise money to benefit the Phoenix House as well as the East End Hospice and East Hampton Day Care.

Online photo service and portfolio storage site shuts down. The services went dark today leaving hundreds of photographers and thousands of customers wondering about the images that were hosted on Digital Railroad. Some of Digital Railroads clients include: UPI, VII, Redux and Noor.
